Our Story: From Idea to AI Tools Directory
The idea for AI Tools Explorer was born in late 2022 when Stan Vee and Jane Saeli got tired of digging through endless lists of AI tools with no way to tell what was actually worth using. So they built their own AI tools directory.
What began as a personal tracker for AI apps quickly outgrew its original purpose. Since going public in 2023, AI Tools Explorer has served over a million visitors and has been referenced by Forbes, the Texas House of Representatives, the Progress Chamber in an FTC public comment, Western Balkans Fund, podcasts, universities, scientific journals and other institutions.
What Makes Us Different?
Every single listing in the AI tools directory is reviewed and curated by a real person. No bots scraping the internet, no auto-generated profiles. Promoted listings are always clearly marked as such.

We focus on AI tools for general and business consumers but we also feature some enterprise AI solutions. Plus, AI Tools Explorer is a strictly SFW (Safe for Work) and brand-safe AI tools directory.
